{"id":771,"date":"2018-08-23T10:00:38","date_gmt":"2018-08-23T09:00:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.williamsonfineart.co.uk\/?p=771"},"modified":"2018-08-20T16:52:31","modified_gmt":"2018-08-20T15:52:31","slug":"i-think-the-end-is-in-sight","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.williamsonfineart.co.uk\/?p=771","title":{"rendered":"I think the end is in sight!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>HGC is giving me furiously to think.\u00a0 I have redrawn his body and painted and cut it out,\u00a0\u00a0 He prowls nicely, doesn&#8217;t he?\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/blog.williamsonfineart.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Prowling.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-774\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.williamsonfineart.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Prowling.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"423\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.williamsonfineart.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Prowling.jpg 800w, https:\/\/blog.williamsonfineart.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Prowling-150x79.jpg 150w, https:\/\/blog.williamsonfineart.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Prowling-300x159.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 709px) 85vw, (max-width: 909px) 67vw, (max-width: 984px) 61vw, (max-width: 1362px) 45vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; but not round the lampshade!\u00a0 Somehow his curves are in the wrong place, though I had planned them carefully.\u00a0 Also, even though I have lengthened his body, there is still a large gap between his head and his tail.<\/p>\n<p>So, using small masking tape pieces, I positioned his head and his new body on the actual shade and considered my options.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0 I could start again.\u00a0 Ouch!<\/li>\n<li>I could make a whole new tail.\u00a0 Errr, really?<\/li>\n<li>I could design more connecting pieces\u00a0 &#8211; will this ever end?!!!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Upon reflection, I feel having him in bits makes for easier prowling.\u00a0 I arranged two pieces of paper (don&#8217;t ask &#8211;\u00a0 we&#8217;re on a coolie hat lampshade, remember?)) from the body to behind his head, created a loop of body to hide the first join then a curve to join that to his head part.
