{"id":679,"date":"2018-05-08T10:00:36","date_gmt":"2018-05-08T09:00:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.williamsonfineart.co.uk\/?p=679"},"modified":"2018-05-10T09:07:50","modified_gmt":"2018-05-10T08:07:50","slug":"black-and-white-the-end","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.williamsonfineart.co.uk\/?p=679","title":{"rendered":"Black and White &#8211; the end"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We left my black and white drawing with a mauve sky,\u00a0 you may remember.\u00a0 It was an improvement on the disaster which ensued when I tried to &#8220;wash&#8221; the sky with my watercolour pencils.\u00a0 That idea would have worked except for the fact that the paper was not suitable for watercolour and I hadn&#8217;t the patience to solemnly shade with the pencil.\u00a0 Moral: use the correct paper &#8211; or even acquire some patience!<\/p>\n<p>Although the watercolour pencil did rub out to some extent it didn&#8217;t move entirely, leaving an intermittent waxy surface which didn&#8217;t take pastel.\u00a0 (Something tells me I should stop digging this hole.)\u00a0 So the patchy mauve sky was pretty awful, too.<\/p>\n<p>Plan C (D? E?)
