Oil painting again &#8211; and I think my burgeoning drawing skills are freeing up my painting arm once more.\u00a0 This painting is a delight; everything is falling into place, (my happy place!).\u00a0 I do hope I find the time to finish it soon.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.williamsonfineart.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Windermere-Clouds.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-573\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.williamsonfineart.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Windermere-Clouds-300x224.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"224\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.williamsonfineart.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Windermere-Clouds-300x224.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blog.williamsonfineart.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Windermere-Clouds-150x112.jpg 150w, https:\/\/blog.williamsonfineart.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Windermere-Clouds.jpg 1000w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 85vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I love the rain cloud approaching from the right, the sunlight hillside, the woods bordering the lake.\u00a0 It&#8217;s the lower half of the painting that needs more attention.\u00a0 It looks like a pine forest at the moment, and most of those trees are deciduous &#8211; they would have to be otherwise no dancing\u00a0 daffodils!<\/p>\n<p>The two smudges in the water will be boats soon, I hope,\u00a0 with their white masts bridging the line where land and water meet, then some work on the lake in the foreground, and we are done.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Oh joy!\u00a0 Oh rapture!
