{"id":1071,"date":"2019-09-05T10:00:01","date_gmt":"2019-09-05T09:00:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.williamsonfineart.co.uk\/?p=1071"},"modified":"2019-08-29T18:04:46","modified_gmt":"2019-08-29T17:04:46","slug":"in-the-sunshine-again","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.williamsonfineart.co.uk\/?p=1071","title":{"rendered":"In the Sunshine again."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Is it really September 4th 2017 when I last worked on this painting?\u00a0 Much has happened since then, not least I have finally got a good working photo of the pair on the identical terrace.\u00a0 I had to go to Nice to get it (but that was fun) and\u00a0 the pose has more animation now.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.williamsonfineart.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Readjustment.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-1074\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.williamsonfineart.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Readjustment-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.williamsonfineart.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Readjustment-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/blog.williamsonfineart.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Readjustment-112x150.jpg 112w, https:\/\/blog.williamsonfineart.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Readjustment-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blog.williamsonfineart.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Readjustment.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 225px) 85vw, 225px\" \/><\/a>I have painted out his head and part of hers, and also painted out the feet.\u00a0 These areas had begun to show a little &#8220;halo&#8221; of adjustments, not quite matching the background, looking dirty.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t think that I need to paint out the rest of the figures &#8211; I think I can change them as necessary.\u00a0 We have a different colour scheme which will help, and the new pose is encouraging as it makes the painting more friendly.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.williamsonfineart.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Drawing.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-1073\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.williamsonfineart.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Drawing-203x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"203\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.williamsonfineart.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Drawing-203x300.jpg 203w, https:\/\/blog.williamsonfineart.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Drawing-102x150.jpg 102w, https:\/\/blog.williamsonfineart.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Drawing-693x1024.jpg 693w, https:\/\/blog.williamsonfineart.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Drawing.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 203px) 85vw, 203px\" \/><\/a>I have done a line drawing to help me position the figures.\u00a0 Her head is not quite right as she is looking at him and smiling!\u00a0 But the figures themselves are right relative to each other.\u00a0 She has opted for a long dress, which makes things easier, and his pose means that I don&#8217;t have to do him full face (and he is pleased about that).\u00a0 This looks like a win-win situation!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Is it really September 4th 2017 when I last worked on this painting?\u00a0 Much has happened since then, not least I have finally got a good working photo of the pair on the identical terrace.\u00a0 I had to go to Nice to get it (but that was fun) and\u00a0 the pose has more animation now. &hellip;
